DvT Practitioner Training: Embodied Play & Leadership Skills Fall 2026

For folks who have already completed their Level 1 Seminar hours, you can join our hybrid cohort for a series of Saturday Morning Play Sessions! Meant for those who have had some exposure to our method, this is a chance to jump back in the playspace if you’ve been away for a while, or a way for those in practitioner training to practice their leadership skills, both 1:1 and in groups.  Over four Saturday mornings, you will meet with a group of playful and curious practitioners to engage in group and individual DvT play, focusing on leadership and co-leadership skills. This class provides 12 Embodied Play hours towards Practitioner Certification.

Cost: Tier 1 - $420, Tier 2 - $360, Tier 3 - $300

DvT Practitioner Training: Level 1 Hybrid Seminar, Fall 2026

Wednesdays (virtually): 9/2, 9/15, 9/30, 10/21 (7pm-8:30pm)

Building on the foundations of Developmental Transformations, this advanced offering invites participants to deepen their relationship to play as both a personal and professional practice. In serious and uncertain times, returning to play can create flexibility, responsiveness, and renewed vitality. This course is designed for those who have prior experience with DvT and are ready to move more fully into complexity, nuance, and sustained engagement within the play space.

Over four Saturday mornings, participants will engage in more extended and layered group and individual DvT play, with increased attention to relational dynamics, form, rupture and repair, and moments of “stuckness” as sites of possibility. Then, across four Wednesday evenings, we will reflect together on the lived play experience, weaving in DvT theory and key writings to deepen understanding of what emerged in the play space and how it informs clinical work, creativity, and everyday life.

This hybrid course offers a supportive, playful community for practitioners seeking to expand their capacity for spontaneity, tolerance for uncertainty, and embodied joy, not by leaving seriousness behind, but by meeting it playfully.  This class provides 6 Level 1 Seminar Hours and 12 Embodied Play hours towards Practitioner Certification.

The Play of Possibility: DvT Workshop - August 22nd

Getting ready to dive back into the Fall? Create energy and invite possibility into your work^life by diving into the Developmental Transformations (DvT) playspace with Adam Reynolds!

This one-day workshop is suitable for players/playors of all experience levels, with those more familiar with the method able to take on leadership roles in group and individual work, and those who are new to the method get a chance to dip their toes in the mysterious, playful, and fun energy of the DvT practice. 

If the “heat” of the world — real and metaphorical — has you feeling spent and shut-down, finding some time to enter into the Developmental Transformations Playspace can help you rejuvenate, cool off, and let go of patterns that have you feeling stuck and stiff where things are most important to you.

Workshop counts for hours towards DvT Practitioner training, and CEs for RDTs, LCATs, and LMSW/LCSWs.

  • Developmental Transformations (DvT) was developed as a form of drama therapy and has been used with individuals and groups across many settings for the last thirty years. In addition to psychotherapy, DvT has been used to help people get more in touch with their bodies, reconnect to their creativity, and better understand how to make mutual, playful, and meaningful connections with others.

  • Curious Rebels hosts training programs, workshops, retreats and seminars for people who would like to explore or further develop their skill in running groups and sessions via this method.

    DvT play and training is useful for mental health practitioners, social workers, psychologists, helping professionals, and anyone interested in connecting more with their playful self and helping others to do so as well.

  • We offer a sliding scale payment option, based on the Green Bottle Method. This sliding scale represents the idea that financial resources, including income, are not and should not be the only determining factor in whether or not someone can join us in the work we do.

    For a sliding scale to work it relies on the principles of truthfulness, respect, and accountability. We do not ask for income verification. We trust our students and clients to be honest. Community thrives when accountability is a central value, because that is where trust grows and depth work can be done.
